Inside Sales/Customer Service

About ACD:

Advanced Controls & Distribution (ACD) is a dynamic, growing company. We are one of the largest distributors in the U.S. for Siemens and other industrial automation products. The Inside Sales & Customer Service position involves supporting customers as well as the efforts of both ACD sales management and ACD outside sales team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide sales support to assigned customers
  • Prepare professional proposals
  • Product Selection
  • Order Entry
  • Order tracking with support from Purchasing
  • Interface with outside sales on customer-specific pricing and margins
  • Communicate with vendors to request special pricing
  • Understand and support annual sales strategies
  • Provide back-up support within the office, when needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with electrical or industrial automation products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in and out of the company
  • Ability to focus on the customers’ needs
  • Proactively approach tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
